Software Developer

Division: Engineering | Type: Full time | Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, development and rollout of new features following thorough engineering practices.
Write clean, well-structured code with proper abstraction and reusability.
Maintain, debug and extend existing code
Write unit test cases as well as get code reviewed by other team members
Design database tables and write SQL queries, procedures and triggers.

Requirements

Bachelor degree required or equivalent work experience, Masters is a plus.
Hands on experience in Java with sound knowledge of design patterns.
Hands on experience in working with databases as a developer.
Familiarity with good engineering practices like revision control systems (we use SVN), bug tracking systems (we use JIRA), code reviews, agile software development (we use SCRUM), build processes, code profiling and debugging.
Excellent thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral and communication skills.
Bonus points for knowledge of any of the following Solr, SEO, PHP
Bonus points for having an understanding of JavaScript, along with experience using a JS framework (we use JQuery).
